still alive

Well, that was a grand Christmas all things considered – we had Catrin’s parents down here because I wasn’t fit to drive, so that was our first Christmas entertaining relatives. A big step, but it all went swimmingly, and was quite lovely. Helped in my opinion by the fact that I could eat just fine!

I’ve had a couple of setbacks – I’m on both steroids and immunosuppressants, which aren’t ideal for surgery to say the least. Healing has been slow, and I did have to go back to the hospital for emergency antibiotics at one point. One of the wounds and the drain still haven’t entirely closed, and I’m not quite there inside either – twisting and bending still hurt like buggery. But I’m getting there.
